A new section on Class Facilities has been added.

22:09 16/08/2009
This Penal Code is to take place with immediate effect. This Penal Code is not finalised, but all portions of it that are present are to be followed. Subsequent portions and updates will be added in the near future. (note: It does not mean that if a rule is not written here then it does not exist.) This Penal Code is still in the creation process and is not fully completed. More updates will be posted soon.

This is the new Penal Code. So far it isn't much, but I will be adding in one testing section and see how it turns out before continuing with the rest. The section to be created will be about the urgent matter of classroom cleanliness. It's done.

This Penal Code applies to all in the classroom, including, but not limited to: students of 1I3, other students regardless of school, class, or consortium, teachers, principals, discipline masters or anybody. Anybody flouting the rules will be punished accordingly unless there are exceptions or valid reasons.

Level of punishments to be dealt out

Sentences dished out will be based on two factors: degree of offence and the "defendant"'s criminal record. E.g., somebody who just eats in class will be punished less severely than somebody who both eats M&Ms in class everyday and spills it all around.A second or third time offender can be given a low sentence, if their offences are few and far apart. However, a serial offender will be severely dealt with.

Cleanliness-related rules

Consumption of food in class

Consumpton of food in class is strictly prohibhited. This is because of concerns with dirtying of the floor and dustbins. Mr Tan Chee Wee has strictly prohibithed it, and we will be sticking to it. Definition of food: anything that is supposed to be eaten, including but not limited to: rice, FAN CHOY, M&Ms, sandwiches. Consumption: to put in mouth, chew, etc. The disposal of wrappers and other things which may be liable to attract ants in the class dustbins or anywhere in the classroom is prohibited.

General tidiness and area around table

The area around your table should be free from litter, including but not limited to tissue paper, paper, stationery. This is to enable the class to look presentable to Mr Tan KK when he is marking and also to provide a conducive environment to learn in. This is also because we want the class to be orderly, and to preserve a good standard of hygiene.

Use of class resources

Computer

Please do not use the computer without explicit permission from the IT reps. (Jin Yang and Tim Lung) Additionally, any use of the computer in class for non-educational purposes (e.g. hunting mice) is forbidden. (Hint hint: the Com Lab is completely out of the CMC's control.) Doing anything against the law with the computer is, rather obviously, also prohibited.

Damaging of class facilities

Pleas do not play football in class, unless Mr Tan Chee Wee allows us to. Take care of our class facilities and do not destroy them. Please try to uphold a good standard of safety. Not many people like to be decapitated by a flying object.
